MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Shenandoah University women's cross country team completed its 2018 season Saturday morning with an 14th place finish at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships.

IN BRIEF

Shenandoah had 445 points in the 6000-meter race to finish 52 points back of Berea (Ky.) and 30 clear of No. 15 Piedmont.

Emory (Ga.) won the event with 83 points. The Eagles defeated Centre (Ky.) by 23 points.

Senior Aislynn Smith led Shenandoah with a 24:57.49, 63rd place showing with Emily Miller 73rd, and Rebecca Doran 81st.

"The women put together a very strong campaign this fall," head coach Andy Marrocco said. "Aislynn (Aislynn Smith) has helped grow this team for four years into a strong program and she now leaves it to the younger classes to continue that process."
