NEW ORLEANS – The Shenandoah University women's cross country team re-entered the USTFCCCA regional rankings in results released Tuesday afternoon by the organization.

After a strong weekend performance at the Inter-Regional Rumble, coming in 14th place in a pool of 26 strong institutions from the Great Lakes Region, the women are ninth in this week's South/Southeast Region poll.

The Hornets were previously ranked 10th the week of September 25th before falling outside of the top 10 the following week. The women ran five personal records and an average time of 24:22 for runners one through five, the best average of their season in Saturday's meet at Oberlin College.

The ODAC has three teams represented in the women's poll. Lynchburg sits at the No. 2 spot for the third week while Washington and Lee keeps the No. 4 ranking for the fourth week in a row.

Emory sits atop the rankings for the sixth straight week.

Saturday's meet was the final meet of the regular season. Shenandoah University hosts the ODAC Cross Country Championship on Saturday, October 27 at Kernstown Battlefield just south of Winchester.
