WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University Head Volleyball Coach Jaime Terenzi announced her 2016 schedule Monday morning.
Terenzi, who enters the 2016 season needing just three wins to crack the 100-victory barrier as the Hornets head coach, has 11 home matches among her 28 contests this fall.
SU spends the opening 10 days of the season on the road, opening with a non-league contest at Marymount on September 1 before competing in the Virginia Wesleyan and Catholic University tournaments September 2-3 and 9-10, respectively.
The initial home ODAC match of this season is Tuesday, September 27 versus Randolph-Macon.
The Yellow Jackets are one of five league opponents to visit Winchester this season. Emory and Henry makes its first trip to Shingleton in two years on October 8, Randolph comes to town on the 14th, Roanoke on the 19th and Lynchburg on the 22nd.
The Randolph match, a 7 p.m. Friday night affair, is also the team's annual Dig Pink contest.
Hood College, on October 27, is the final home match of the regular season and will serve as Senior Night.
"We had a great year last year and that was in large part to the our strong start," Terenzi said of her 18-10 season in 2015 that included five wins in the first six matches.
"We also were very strong at home. We have a great home atmosphere and I know that is going to continue again this fall."
