Lynchburg Shuts Out Women's Tennis

WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting University of Lynchburg was strong throughout the lineup in a 9-0 ODAC women's tennis victory over Shenandoah University Wednesday afternoon.

Lynchburg (12-2, 7-1 ODAC) dropped just two games in doubles in jumping out to a 3-0 lead over Shenandoah (4-7, 2-6).


The visitors then clinched with wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles.

Madison Hansen had the closest match, falling 2-6, 7-5, 0-1 (6-10) at No. 1.

With the match result determined, the bottom three singles matches were played as eight-game pro-sets.


Shenandoah will travel to Randolph College on Friday to play the WildCats in an ODAC match at Crosswhite Athletic Club.
