WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach Larry Hubbard announced Wednesday the 2018-19 schedules for both of his programs.

Hubbard, who is entering his ninth season at the helm of the two programs, has 11 home matches for the men and 10 for the women next spring.

This fall, both teams will host a USTA Challenge Tournament in mid-September with the men also competing in the ITA South/Southeast Regional.

The men's spring season starts with an indoor match versus Penn State – Altoona on February 9 before hosting perennial league power Washington and Lee on February 21.

The men also have one additional indoor match, versus Susquehanna on February 23, to round out their pre-spring break schedule.

The women's spring schedule commences on February 16 with a 7:30 non-league home match versus Mary Baldwin. This contest will be held indoors at Winchester Country Club.

Prior to spring break, the women host Notre Dame of Maryland on Saturday, March 2.

The annual spring break trip for both teams sees the squads take on Greensboro in non-league action as well as Guilford and Roanoke in ODAC play.

In March, the men host Bethany (W. Va.) on the 21st and Ferrum on the 30th. This latter match is a doubleheader with the women.

In April, the women have seven home matches with Hollins, Sweet Briar, Virginia Wesleyan, Lynchburg, Randolph College and Randolph-Macon all visiting for ODAC matches. The Macon contest, on Saturday, April 27, is a doubleheader and serves as Senior Day for both teams.

The SU men complete the final month of the season by hosting Hood, Virginia Wesleyan, Lynchburg, Randolph College and Bridgewater in addition to Randolph-Macon.

"We had a strong season on the men's side last year in qualifying for the ODAC Tournament for the second time in program history," Hubbard said.

"It is certainly our goal to see both programs playing in the post-season this coming year."
