GRANVILLE, Ohio - Women's soccer fell to Denison in a 5-2 non-league contest on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Kaitlyn Carter gave Shenandoah (2-3) the early lead before DU (4-1) scored five straight goals to secure the win.

35′ | Riley Hammond took a corner kick for Denison, Maggie Armstrong headed the ball into the goal past the Hornet defense.
38′ | Hammond delivered another corner, this time from the left, Armstrong headed in her second goal of the game.
48′ | Maggie Armstrong scored from 20 yards out over Autumn Delellis' hands to score.
50′ | Liz Gilbert scored an unassisted goal.
73′ | Denison Sydney Ludes scored from the right side of the box off of an Abby King pass.
The Hornets play at home on Saturday, September 15 with a 2 p.m. non-league game versus Salisbury.
Carter made her first collegiate start and scored her first collegiate goal today.
Anna Jacobson made seven saves in 73:45 of playing time.
The Big Red outshot the Hornets 18-11 and had the advantage in corners 7-4.

This is just the second time that Denison and Shenandoah have met. The series record is now 2-0 in favor of Denison.
