WINCHESTER, Va. - We continue our look at the Class of 2019 by meeting women's soccer standout Rebecca Collimore.

Undergrad: Exercise Science with Spanish minor. Graduate School: dual DPT/MSAT program
Sport Played:
Women's Soccer
Why did you choose Shenandoah?
I chose Shenandoah because it was a bit further from home, but not too far. I also had a goal to later on partake in the dual degree graduate program and the ability to play soccer at the collegiate level was just icing on the cake.
Favorite Class and Professor:
This is a really hard choice because I was fortunate to have a lot of great professors, but for the EXSC department it was sport psychology with Dr. Peacock and for Spanish it was Chicano Literature with Dr. PG.
What do you like most about playing sports at SU?
I love how being on a sport team allowed me a fast opportunity to meet a lot of people and be known on campus for something other than academics. It also provided me with a lot of volunteer activities within the community, something I never had the chance to do back home.
Favorite thing to do in Winchester:
Fit as much as I possibly can in the smaller sized cup at Sweet Frog.
Favorite SU Athletics Memory:
Making fun of Coach Pike when she says something dumb.
What has playing athletics at SU meant to you?
Playing soccer at SU has allowed me to continue the sport I love and to know that I truly can do anything if I put my mind to it. I told myself back in middle school that I would play collegiate soccer and I did just that.
Post-Graduate Plans:
I am currently in the dual graduate program for a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a Masters of Science in Athletic Training.
Nobody knows that I...
can play the piano.
