WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's soccer team seeks its sixth straight appearance in the ODAC semi-finals by taking on second-seeded Lynchburg tonight in a 6 p.m. quarterfinal round game at Shellenberger Field on the Lynchburg College campus.

This is the third time in six ODAC Tournament appearances that SU (10-8) and Lynchburg (15-3) have met in the tournament, but the first time in the quarterfinal round.

The two teams come into the tournament tied in goals scored this season with 47; defensively, Lynchburg has allowed 12 goals this season against Shenandoah's 30.

Sophomore Emily Yergin and freshman Liz Keefer are tied for the team lead in scoring for SU with 23 points apiece. Keefer has 11 goals and one assist for her 23 points with Yergin tallying 10 goals and three assists for her 23-point total.

Junior Rebecca Collimore has 22 points on four goals and a program-record 14 assists this season. The Jackson, New Jersey native has 13 of those 14 assists since conference play started on September 23.

In the goal, freshman Kasey Richitt has won her last two starts, defeating Randolph-Macon and Emory and Henry last week. The E&H victory was also her first career shutout.

Juniors Kennedy Jakubek and Caitlin Mertens lead LC with 24 points apiece. Mertens, a midfielder, has a team-leading 11 goals to nine for Jakubek.

A third junior, Delia LoSapio, has played 1417:12 of the 1632.28 of action this season for Lynchburg and has 14 of her squad's 15 wins.

This is the second time that Shenandoah has been a No. 7 seed in the ODAC Tournament. In 2013, the Hornets defeated No. 2 Washington and Lee, 3-2, to advance to a semi-final versus Lynchburg.

SU has advanced to the tournament semi-finals in all five seasons of league play.

The winner of tonight's quarterfinal round game faces the winner of the No. 3 Roanoke versus No. 6 Randolph-Macon contest on Saturday on the campus of the highest remaining seed in the tournament.
