WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University Head Women's Soccer Coach Liz Pike announced her 2017 schedule Wednesday morning.
After opening at the Salisbury Tournament against the host Sea Gulls and McDaniel September 1 and 2, respectively, the Hornets open their 2017 home slate on Wednesday, September 6 versus Franklin and Marshall.
The 7 p.m. game against the Diplomats is one of four night home games for SU this fall. Pike's side hosts Stevenson, Mary Washington and Randolph-Macon under the lights this year with the October 25 contest versus R-MC serving as Senior Night.
In addition to the Salisbury Tournament, SU travels to New Jersey September 9 and 10 to take on Rutgers-Camden and Stockton universities.
The final non-conference tilt is a September 13 road contest at Dickinson.
SU travels to Roanoke, Bridgewater, Washington and Lee, Sweet Briar and Emory and Henry to round out its ODAC schedule. As part of the league's unbalanced slate, the Hornets do not face Eastern Mennonite or Randolph College this season.
"This is a tough schedule," Pike said. "We never shy away from playing quality opponents, and this year is no different. We need to be prepared to work hard right from day one if we expect to be successful."
