WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Lindsey Lutz announced her 2019 schedule Wednesday morning.

Lutz, who has led her Hornets into the ODAC Tournament semi-finals four times in six years of league play, has nine home games on tap for this coming spring.

Included in that total are contests against 2018 NCAA Regional semi-finalist Mary Washington as well as defending ODAC champion Washington and Lee.

The Hornets open with UMW, hosting the Eagles on Wednesday, February 20, before finishing the month with non-league games at Lycoming and home versus McDaniel.

In March, SU completes its non-league slate with games at Christopher Newport, Marywood and Frostburg State while hosting Widener on the sixth and Lebanon Valley on the 16th.

Shenandoah and LVC have played in each of the past five seasons with the home team holding serve on every occasion.

The Lebanon Valley contest is also one of two Saturday's in which the women are scheduled for a doubleheader with SU men.

In ODAC play, Lutz' club hosts Lynchburg, Randolph College, Guilford and Roanoke in addition to the W&L contest.

The Hornets travel to Virginia Wesleyan, Bridgewater, Randolph-Macon and conference newcomer Ferrum to round out the ODAC slate.

The Roanoke game, on April 19, will be Senior Day. The home ODAC opener is Saturday, March 30 versus Lynchburg.

"I think we have proven that playing teams like Mary Washington early in our schedule has helped us prepare for ODAC play," Lutz said.

"We have made the semi-finals in each of the past two years, and it is our goal to take the next step in our program's development."
