BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The Shenandoah University women's golf team had its best-ever ODAC Championships finish Tuesday with a runner-up showing at the 2019 tourney hosted at Bryan Park outside of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Shenandoah shot a collective 347 Tuesday on the par-73, 5800-yard Champions course to finish 78 strokes behind champion Washington and Lee and 24 in front of third-place Bridgewater.

IN BRIEF

Freshman Natalie Hill had a nine-over-par 82 to finish sixth overall. Madison Ngo shot 83, McKenzie Slattery 87 and Emily Conrad 95 to round out the SU total.

Katie Davis had a 99 that did not count toward the team score.

All five women had at least one birdie on the day with Davis recording the squad's first-ever eagle in ODAC Tournament play by carding a '3' on the par-5, 418-yard second.

Davis reached the green in two with a driver and a 5-wood before draining a 10-foot putt for the eagle '3'.

Ngo finished tied for eighth, Slattery 13th, Conrad 14th and Davis 20th.
