BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The Shenandoah University women's golf team finds itself in second place after day one of the 2019 ODAC Championships hosted at Bryan Park outside of Greensboro, North Carolina.

With three scores in the 80s, the Hornets shot a collective 349 Sunday over the par-73, 5800-yard layout to come in 32 strokes back of first round leader Washington and Lee. SU is 13 strokes clear of third place Bridgewater.

IN BRIEF

Freshman Natalie Hill led Shenandoah with a nine-over-par 82 with Madison Ngo and Emily Conrad both carding 14-over 87.

McKenzie Slattery rounded out the squad's qualifying scores with a 93.

Slattery had two birdies on her card, recording a '3' at the par-4, 358-yard first and a '4' on the 410yard, par-5 15th.

Ngo matched Slattery with birdies at the 457-yard, par-5 third and the 421-yard, par-5 18th.

Hill had the team's final birdie of the day, posting a '4' at the par-5, 418-yard second. She also had the team's most pars, eight, on the day.

Hill is tied for fourth with Ngo and Conrad tied for 10th.
