STAFFORD, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's golf team stands second after day one of the Eagle Invitational hosted by the University of Mary Washington.

Playing the par-71, 5871-yard Augustine Golf Course, the Hornets had a collective 346 Saturday to come in two strokes back of round one leader Marymount.

IN BRIEF

Natalie Hill paced Shenandoah with an 11-over-par 82. She is sixth overall.

Shenandoah is 18 shots back of Marymount and 16 in front of Catholic.
