BEAUFORT, S.C. – The Shenandoah University women's golf team opened its 2019 spring season Monday with a collective 369 at the adidas-TaylorMade Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Dataw Island.

Playing the par-72, 5835-yard Morgan River course at Dataw Island, the Hornets had a 371 to find themselves in sixth place after 18-holes of the 36-hole event. SU is five shots back of fifth place Marymount and 15 clear of Millkin. 

Junior Madison Ngo leads SU after that opening round thanks to a 12-over-par 84. She is tied for eighth.

Indiana Tech leads after posting a 319.
