ROME, Ga. – The Shenandoah University women's golf team is 12th following the completion of day one of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational hosted by Berry College.

Playing at the par-72, 5851-yard Coosa Country Club, the Hornets had a collective 373 Monday afternoon to find themselves in 12th place in the two-day, 36-hole event. SU is 12 shots back of Maryville (Tenn.) and 28 in front of Bethel (Tenn.).

Oglethorpe leads by one stroke over Birmingham-Southern.

IN BRIEF

Freshman Natalie Hill paced Shenandoah with a 15-over-par 87 with Madison Ngo carding a 93, McKenzie Slattery 96 and Katie Davis 97.

Hill had one birdie, at the par-4, 321-yard 18th (her ninth hole), along with six pars in her round. She is tied for 45th.

Slattery had five pars with Ngo and Davis recording four each.
