FRONT ROYAL, Va. – Freshman Natalie Hill set a new school record for the Shenandoah University women's golf team as it finished fifth Sunday in the Greene Turtle Invitational.

Playing a second day at the par-71, 5810-yard Shenandoah Valley Golf Club, the Hornets shot a program-record 340 Sunday to record a two-day total of 700 and finish fifth in the 12-team, 50-woman tournament.

IN BRIEF

The 340 total is 20 better than Saturday's opening round and sets a new best for the team.

Hill, who had an 83 Saturday, posted an 11-over 82 Sunday to finish tied for 13th. The 82 is the low round in program history while Madison Ngo still holds the record relative to par with a 10-over 83 shot in the final round of the 2018 ODAC Championship.

York (Pa.) won the tournament with a 315-307—622. The Spartans beat Stevenson by nine strokes.

Shenandoah finished four strokes behind fourth place Catholic and 24 in front of No. 6 Virginia Wesleyan.
