LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Shenandoah University women's golf team stands fourth after day one of the Bucknell University Invitational after posting a collective 373 Saturday afternoon.
The Hornets, the only DIII school in the five-team field, have a 17-stroke lead over La Salle after 18 holes of play.
Junior Harper Matthews paced SU over the par-70 Bucknell Golf Club layout with a 21-over-par 91. Madison Igo had a 92 and Emily Conrad 94 for Shenandoah with Katie Davis and McKenzie Slattery both carding a 96.
Host Bucknell leads with a 309. Siena is second at 315 and Niagara third at 334.
The tournament concludes Sunday.
