Former Salisbury University standout Nick Hanifee is in his second season as the top assistant for the cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field programs.
A former graduate assistant coach for the Sea Gulls cross country and track & field teams, Hanifee brings a wealth of experience as Andy Marrocco's top assistant. As coach Jim Jones' assistant, Hanifee helped the Capital Athletic Conference power grab 68 All-CAC accolades while tutoring the 2016 NCAA Division III men's indoor 4 x 400 national championship relay squad, the 2015 CAC Cross Country Rookie of the Year and the 2016 USTFCCCA Mid-East Rookie of the Year.
In the classroom, Salisbury student-athletes earned 29 CAC All-Academic honors as well as USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for both team and individuals in both 2015 and 2016.
He was involved in all facets of the Salisbury cross country and track & field programs and had particular coaching emphasis with distance and mid-distance personnel.
As a student-athlete, Hanifee was a captain of both the cross country and track & field teams and earned CAC All-Academic honors multiple times in his career.
With the Hornets, he is involved in all aspects of the cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field programs.
