Track & Field Starts Strong At Relays

WILLIAMSBURG/FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Shenandoah University track & field programs started off a busy weekend with the squads split between the University of Mary Washington and the College of William & Mary.

The squads so a combined 16 personal records, 10 conference qualifying marks and a school record fall on Friday. 

Colonial Relays

At the Colonial Relays, a DI heavy meet hosted by William & Mary, the women saw the 10000 meter record fall when Emily Miller bested a 38:40.45 school record by just under six seconds.

Battleground Relays

At Mary Washington, the two teams saw four first place finishes led by Justin Mehrer and in the 10k. Reed Davis and Tyler McCarthy took second and third behind Mehrer.

Zachary Barton and Rebecca Doran took first in the men's and women's 3k, respectively.

Jason White had the highest finish for the field events taking first in the triple jump.
