MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Shenandoah University outdoor track & field teams completed their opening weekend of the season Saturday at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.

The Hornets had 10 top 10s on day two with the men picking up seven of those top finishes.

IN BRIEF

The squad's top finishes came in the 3000 meters where Tyler McCarthy was fourth for the men and Rebecca Doran had the same place finish for the women.

McCarthy's mark was a new school record.

Kyle Holliday, who had top 10 showings in the 110 and 400 meter hurdles, set a new program record in the 110 with a 16.62. He finished eighth.
