Wilkerson and White Named All-Region

NEW ORLEANS – The Shenandoah University men's and women's indoor track & field teams had a combined three members earn All-Region honors in selections announced Monday afternoon by the USTFCCCA.

Senior Shamyra Wilkerson was named in a pair of events for the women with sophomore Jason White earning the accolade for the men.

Wilkerson, who will compete in the 60-meters and 200-meters this weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston, earned All-Region honors in both events.

She is currently 13th in the 200 and 11th in the 60 and was an All-ODAC honoree in both events as well.

White grabs his third all-time All-Region honor by earning an All-Region selection in the triple jump for the second straight year.

Student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors by posting a top-5 time/distance in their respective region or being on a top-3 relay.

White had a season-best 13.92 meter leap in the triple jump at the 2019 ODAC championships to qualify for his All-Region spot.

Wilkerson earned her first two All-Region honors thanks to a 7.74 in the 60 and a 25.50 in the 200. Both of these times came at the 2019 ODAC championships.
