WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University Head Men's and Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Coach Andy Marrocco announced the 2018-19 schedules for those four programs Tuesday morning.

The first-ever home meet, a January 13 indoor meet, highlights the schedule.

The Wilkins Center Invitational will bring together four teams from around the commonwealth for the first-ever home meet in program history.

"This is huge for our program," Marrocco said of the home meet. "We are one of only two programs in the ODAC with a home facility and to be able to show the Wilkins Center off is going to help us in many ways."

The Wilkins Center Invitational kicks off the second semester of action and is the second meet of the indoor season. In December, the men and women travel to the CNU Holiday Open.

Following the home meet, Marrocco's squad heads to the Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus College before competing in the SPIRE Midwest Invitational in Geneva, Ohio.

The SPIRE Institute is also the host of the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

In February, the squads travel to the Bomber Invitational, the Sweetheart Multi-Mix and the VMI Winter Relays prior to the ODAC Championships.

The Sweetheart Multi-Mix, hosted by the Naval Academy, is a women's event only and the ODAC Championships are again hosted by Roanoke College at the Cregger Center.

The outdoor season, beginning with the Coastal Carolina Invitational March 8 and 9, features six meets prior to the April 19-20 ODAC Outdoor Championships at Lynchburg College.

SU competes at the W&L Track & Field Carnival, the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational, the Blue and Silver Challenge and both the Colonial and Battleground relays before participating in the outdoor championships.

Following the ODAC Outdoor Championships, the teams will compete at the Penn Relays, the Lions Invitational, the Liberty Twilight and a last chance meet at Swarthmore.

"We brought in an excellent group of student-athletes, and this schedule is going to challenge each and every one of them," Marrocco said.
