VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – League leading Virginia Wesleyan continued its winning ways Sunday by sweeping an ODAC doubleheader from Shenandoah University.

The No. 13 Marlins (18-4, 8-2 ODAC) downed the Hornets (5-15, 3-7) 9-0 and 11-1 with both games ended after five innings.

Sophomore Lindsay Corbin had Shenandoah's lone run in the series by drilling a two-out home run in the fourth inning of game two.

Kimberly Brady and Cassie Green had the Hornets other hits in the nightcap.

Lisa Mitro (3-4) took the loss after giving up 11 runs (five earned) on six hits and one walk in 4.0 innings of work.

She struck out two.

Brady had SU's lone hit in the opener, a single in the fourth.

Corbin (0-6) went the distance, allowing the nine runs (seven earned) on 12 hits and three walks.

Shenandoah returns home on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. ODAC doubleheader against Eastern Mennonite.
