Tennis Announces Captains

WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach Larry Hubbard announced Monday that Kyler Apgar, Emma Crue and Bryan Harris have been elected captains for the 2018-19 season.

Hubbard, who has led either the men or the women into the ODAC Tournament five times in six seasons of league play, will have Apgar and Harris serve as captains for the men's team and Crue as the captain for the women.

The trio won a combined 25 matches last season with Harris leading the way thanks to eight doubles victories.

In the classroom, it is Crue setting the pace with a 3.65 GPA as a nursing major.

"I am very happy to have Kyler, Emma and Bryan work with me as captains for this coming season," Hubbard said. "All three are hard workers that have earned the respect of their teammates.

"I look forward seeing them develop as leaders this coming spring."

Shenandoah opens its men's season on February 9 with an indoor match versus PSU-Altoona while the Hornet women open on February 16 versus Mary Baldwin.
