Veteran assistant coach Scott Hackett is in his third year as the top assistant for the men's soccer program.

Hackett, who was the head coach of the Millbrook H.S. boy's team in 2003 and 2004, leading the Pioneers to their first-ever varsity victory, as well as the Heritage H.S. girl's team in 2005 and 2006, came on board in August, 2016 as the Hornets assistant coach. In November 2018, he was named as the program's interim head coach following the departure of the previous head coach.

Hackett was the interim head coach of the Hornets program on two occasions, the last coming November 2018 thru January 2019. From November, 2016, thru January, 2017, he took on the role for the first time.

Following his experience at Heritage, Hackett, an Edinboro (Pa.) University graduate, was the head boy's coach at Loudoun Valley H.S. from 2007-08 and 2012-15. He led the Vikings to their first appearance in the regional tournament as a AAA school and helped the squad to a 2014 Conference 28 title.

Hackett also has one year of assistant coaching experience at both Loudoun County H.S. and Heritage H.S.
