Bus Information

From main campus and Aikens Athletic Center  follow Shockey Drive toward Shentel Stadium and the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center. There are two “Bus Only” zones on the right hand side of the road in the parking lot near the east endzone and the Perry-Warner Endzone building.

Bench and Warmups

Visiting benches are located on the north sideline. Visiting teams will use the bench nearest the west end zone (closest to I-81). There are restrooms located in the building directly behind the benches.

Music will start when the home team takes the field.

Ice and water are provided to the visiting team bench.


Clock Information

The clock will reach “0:00” 10 minutes before the scheduled start time for each contest with the exception of senior day, in which case, the close will reach “0:00” 15 minutes prior to the start of the contest.

Soccer Match Notes:

  • Two 45-minute halves

  • 15-minute halftime period

  • An air horn will be provided at the center table for substitutions.


  • 5-minute intermission following regulation

  • 10-minute first overtime period (Sudden Victory)

  • 2-minute Intermission

  • 10-minute second overtime period

  • If the score remains tied during an ODAC tournament game, the tiebreaker procedure of taking kicks from the penalty-kick line or spot shall be used to determine advancement.



Admission to Athletic Events

There is a $5 charge for non-conference regular season contests. ODAC regular season contests have no admission charge.

There are no pets (other than medical service dogs) allowed at Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium.


Fan Parking

Parking for all sporting events will be in the parking lot of the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center located immediately south of Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium as well as the parking garage immediately north of the stadium.

For those who have a valid handicapped parking permit, parking is available in the section of the lots immediately north and south of the James R. Wilkins Jr. Athletics & Events Center in addition to the three spaces in the Perry-Warner Endzone lot.

Spectator parking along Shockey Drive and behind the Perry-Warner Endzone building is strictly prohibited and may result in a towing and/or fine.

Emergency Action Plan

The Athletic Trainers and coaches have an Emergency Action Plan in place. In the event of an emergency consult the head coach, game administrator and sports medicine staff.

All Shenandoah University coaches, assistant coaches and volunteer coaches are
CPR and first aid trained and certified, this basic knowledge allots these personnel to make an informed decision between life and non ­life-threatening situations.If unsure of the severity of the injury, call EMS.
