'Jackets Slip Past Men's Soccer

WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Randolph-Macon scored the lone goal of the second half to escape with a 2-1 ODAC men's soccer victory over Shenandoah Wednesday night on the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf.

Macon (5-6-1, 2-4-1 ODAC) got a Tyler Schardein goal in the 47th minute to break a 1-1 tie versus Shenandoah (4-8-1, 1-5).

35′ | Chance Hollins advanced the ball up the left sideline to put Chase Greene in a 1-on-1 opportunity with Jackets' keeper, Greene snuck his shot into the far post to tie the game up at one.

33′ | Josh Beeker sent Christian Torres to the left post, Torres shot found the back of the net

47′ | Paul Duffy was able to get a pass off to Tyler Schardein through a scrum in front of the left post to give the jackets a 2-1 lead.

Men's soccer is on the road on Sunday, October 14 in a 1 p.m. ODAC contest at Emory and Henry.
