WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Wilson College Wednesday night in the Hornets home opener.

Shenandoah (2-2-1) saw Wilson (1-3-1) take the early lead on a goal in the ninth minute, but SU tied with a goal in the 25th before taking the lead for good in the 35th.

Derrick David had the game-winning goal with Chance Hollins scoring the initial tally and Nick Seymour netting an insurance goal in the 79th minute.

"I was very happy with our commitment and effort, head coach Matt Smith said. "It was nice to get a win in our home opener."


Shenandoah travels to Delaware Valley on Friday for a 4 p.m. non-league contest.
