ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Host Elizabethtown College used a three-goal run to start the second half Saturday on its way to a 9-5 non-league men's lacrosse victory over Shenandoah.
E-town (3-0) answered that run by scoring the only two goals of the third quarter and the initial tally of the fourth to increase its lead to 7-4 with 11:49 remaining.
Schott brought the Hornets to within two goals by converting a Michael Brooks fee with 7:18 left, but SU would get no closer.
The Blue Jays scored at 6:02 and 4:30 to seal the victory.
Devon Weaver closed the book on the day's scoring with an unassisted goal at 2:33.
Schott and Levins had two goals each for the visitors with Brooks dishing out two assists.
Elizabethtown had a 29-22 edge in shots and 29-28 on groundballs.
The two teams split 16 face-offs.
Hornets goalkeeper Jason Simpson made 10 saves.
Shenandoah returns home on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. non-league contest versus Marymount.
