ST. CLOUD, Fla. – The Shenandoah University men's golf team continued spring break play Thursday by leading its own invitational after day one of the two-day tournament. 

Playing at the par-72, 6508-yard Royal Links of St. Cloud, Shenandoah opened up a seven-stroke lead over Southern Virginia thanks to a collective 315 Thursday.

IN BRIEF

The Apprentice School, with a 343, rounds out the tournament.

Blake Woodie tied for day one medalist honors with Coulson Hardy from Southern Virginia after both men carded two-over-par 72.

Jeremy Mills is tied for third, one shot back of Woodie and Hardy.
