ASHLAND, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's golf team is tied for sixth place Monday following the completion of the opening round of the Ted Keller Memorial Tournament hosted by Randolph-Macon College.

Shenandoah shot a collective 310 Monday over the par-71, 6679-yard Hanover Country Club layout to tie with Mary Washington for sixth.

IN BRIEF

SU and UMW are one stroke back of Mary Washington's 'B' team and 18 clear of Eastern Mennonite.

Host Randolph-Macon leads by two strokes over Franklin & Marshall. The Yellow Jackets carded a 296 Monday.

Sophomore Joseph Gesell is tied for third place overall after posting a one-over-par 72.
