SUFFOLK, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's golf team stands second after day one of the Marlin Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University at Sleepy Hole Golf Course.

Playing the par-72, 7007-yard layout, Brett Dubin led the Hornets with a five-over-par 77 with Joseph Gesell and Blake Woodie both posting six-over 78.

Doc Schulte rounded out the men's qualifying scores with an 80 while Connor McCarthy added an 84 that did not count toward the team score.

Virginia Wesleyan leads with a 303.

The tournament concludes Sunday.
