FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's basketball team is the co-No. 11 selection of the ODAC coaches in pre-season poll results announced Thursday as part of the league's annual media day.
Shenandoah, preparing for its second season under head coach Adam Walsh, has 31 points in the poll to tie with Eastern Mennonite for the pre-season No. 11 position. SU and the Royals split their two meetings last season with each winning on its home floor.
R-MC and pre-season No. 3 selection Guilford split the remaining six first-place votes.
Voting was done on a 12-1 basis with coaches unable to vote for their own teams in the poll.
Shenandoah opens its 2018-19 season next Saturday with an exhibition at DI UMBC. The official opener is Monday, November 12 at Mount Aloysius.
