WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University Head Men's Basketball Coach Adam Walsh announced his 2018-19 regular season slate Tuesday afternoon.

Walsh, preparing for his second year at the helm of the Hornets, has 13 home games scheduled for the program's first full season in the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center.

In addition to the eight home ODAC contests, Walsh welcomes Elizabethtown, Christopher Newport and Mary Washington into the Wilkins Center for non-league contests.

The last two non-league games come on the final weekend of 2018 as the Coast Guard Academy, along with Eastern (Pa.) University and Southern Virginia University, visit for the Shenandoah Tournament.

SU takes on CGA, located in New London, Connecticut, in the second game of opening night on Friday, December 28.

This tournament will be played over the same two days as the SU women's tournament with games scheduled at noon, 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

After opening the season with non-league contests at Mount Aloysius and St. Mary's (Md.) on November 12 and 15, respectively, the Hornets host Elizabethtown on Saturday, November 17 in the first home game of the season.

This is also the squad's final non-league tune-up before traveling to Emory and Henry on Sunday, November 25 for the ODAC opener.

Following the Christopher Newport contest on Wednesday, November 28 to close out the opening month of the season, SU has a five-game homestand in December that starts with ODAC games versus Hampden-Sydney on the 1st and Guilford on the 8th.

The Mary Washington game, on the 17th, bridges a 20-day gap between the Guilford contest and opening game of the tournament versus Coast Guard on the 28th.

Thirteen of the final 14 games are ODAC contests with a road tilt versus Marymount on January 16 representing the only non-league game in the second semester.

Shenandoah hosts Lynchburg, Roanoke, Randolph-Macon, Ferrum, Virginia Wesleyan and Randolph College in ODAC play while traveling to Lynchburg, Macon, Ferrum, Washington and Lee, Randolph, Eastern Mennonite and Bridgewater.
