Why did you choose Shenandoah? |
During my first visit at Shenandoah, I instantly felt comfortable- I could see it being my new home. I loved the size and it also offered a lot of opportunity from the beginning. It is also pretty close to home so I still get to see my family often and don't have to miss too much of my little brother, Kilian growing up. |
Favorite Class and Professor: |
Favorite Class: Analysis of Health and Occupation w/ Dr. Lutman Favorite Professor: Kerry Mader |
What do you like most about playing sports at SU? |
The atmosphere- on the field, in the weight room, athletic training room, everywhere. I love having a whole family that has really helped me develop as both a player on the field and a person off the field. I really appreciate all that my team, coaches and the rest of the athletics staff have done for me. |
Favorite thing to do in Winchester: |
I love to eat at the Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet on Milwood Pike. |
Favorite SU Athletics Memory: |
My mom being at every single game (even when I had a broken jaw and couldn't play) and screaming "ROCKSTAR" from the stands during line-ups. She made it her goal to never miss a game all four years - she even showed up in a blow up dinosaur costume junior year when we played Bridgewater on Halloween. She met that goal and it means a lot to me. |
What has playing athletics at SU meant to you? |
A lot. I have learned so much through athletics at SU. I learned a lot about who I am and really grew from being a quiet individual freshman year. I met some of my best friends. I became an ODAC champion. The love for my sport grew and I saw my family grow and become stronger. Years of dedication and hard work surrounded by people with similar values really deepened my appreciation for everything life is. |
Post-Graduate Plans: |
After the spring semester, I have six months of fieldwork before graduating with my master's in December 2019. Then I take my boards, becoming a certified occupational therapist. I hope to get a job working with newborns and their families in a NICU. |
Nobody knows that I... |
medaled at an Irish dancing competition. I did Irish dance and performed for seven years but only competed once. I totally forgot my choreography for the jig category, but ended up placing for the advanced beginners reel. |
