FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Two Shenandoah University football players earned USA South Conference Player of the Week honors in selections announced Monday afternoon by the conference office.
For Wallace, it is the second time in three weeks that he has captured the honor.
Wallace had five catches for 145 yards and two touchdowns in the Hornets 36-29 loss at Randolph-Macon Saturday afternoon.
He had four plays of at least 20 yards, including TD catches of 53 and 27 yards.
Mitchell, a sophomore, made a career- and game-high 12 solo tackles along with one assisted stop and one interception to earn his first-ever conference honor.
He completed his day with five kickoff returns for 79 yards.
Shenandoah is off this week and opens its USA South Conference slate on October 1 with a 7 p.m. home game against Greensboro.
