ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Shenandoah University baseball team comes in as the nation's No. 21 team in the final American Baseball Coaches Association poll of the 2019 season.
Shenandoah, 35-15, finished the year as the Union (New Jersey) Regional champions after qualifying for its 10th NCAA Tournament appearance thanks to its second consecutive ODAC championship.
SU started its run to that regional title with a 9-2 victory over No. 27 Ithaca (New York) on day two of the four-team regional.
National champ Chapman (California) tops the poll – the Panthers finished the year with a 44-12 record and had a perfect 480 points in the poll.
Shenandoah has 154 points in the poll, 10 points back of No. 20 TCNJ and 22 clear of Rowan (New Jersey).
SU was the only ODAC team in the final poll.
