FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University baseball team is the pre-season No. 2 selection of the ODAC coaches in poll results released Wednesday morning by the league office.

Defending champion Shenandoah, with 110 points and two first place votes, comes in nine points back of Randolph-Macon in the poll.

R-MC, which advanced to the DIII World Series last season, has 119 points and nine first place votes.

Roanoke, the 2017 champ, comes in third with 96 points and the remaining first place vote.

Voting was done on an 11-1 basis and coaches were forbidden from voting for their own teams in the poll.

Shenandoah, which is ranked in both the ABCA and NCWBA/D3baseball.com polls, opens its 2019 season next Saturday in a noon doubleheader versus nationally ranked Misericordia.
