ROME, Ga. – No. 9/11 Shenandoah University takes on its second straight higher ranked opponent as it faces No. 6/5 Emory (Ga.) Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the third round of the NCAA South Regional.
The 34-10 Hornets and the 32-10 Eagles have both won two games to open this regional and are playing for a spot in the championship contest.
The winner of the game will have two chances on Saturday to punch its ticket to Appleton, Wisconsin and the NCAA Division III National Championships.
Shenandoah, the No. 3 seed, opened the tournament with a 3-2 win over fourth-seeded Marietta and then took out second-seeded Birmingham-Southern 6-2 Thursday evening.
