MINNEAPOLIS, Minn./ALLENTOWN, Pa. - For the second time this season, the Shenandoah University baseball team has moved by one spot in a pair of ranking polls released Tuesday afternoon.
Shenandoah, 32-10 after reaching the penultimate day of the 2016 ODAC Baseball Tournament, is up one position in the week 10 NCBWA/D3baseball.com poll and down one in the ABCA poll.
The Hornets are eighth in the D3baseball.com poll and 13th in the ABCA poll after having been ninth and 12th last week, respectively.
In the D3baseball.com poll, SU has 391 points to outdistance No. 9 Ramapo (N.J.) by 17 points. Shenandoah has 270 points in the ABCA poll, just one point back of No. 12 Keystone (Pa.).
Cortland (N.Y.) State remains as the nation's No. 1 team in both polls.
The Hornets have completed their regular season and now await a possible Pool C berth into the 2016 NCAA Division III Tournament. The tournament field is selected in two weeks.
