MINNEAPOLIS, Minn./ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Shenandoah University baseball team has risen a total of eight spots in two ranking polls released Tuesday afternoon.
The Hornets, now 20-4-1 after defeating Mount Aloysius 21-2 Monday afternoon, rise three spots to No. 6 in the NCBWA/D3baseball.com poll and five spots to No. 8 the ABCA poll.
SU has 455 points in the D3baseball.com poll to come in behind No. 5 Kean (N.J.).
In the ABCA poll, the Hornets 314 points to come in 12 points behind Birmingham Southern.
Cortland (N.Y.) State is the new No. 1 in both polls. The Red Dragons have 13 first place votes and 608 points in the D3baseball.com poll and eight first place votes and 471 points in the ABCA poll.
UW-Whitewater is No. 2 in both polls.
Shenandoah is off until traveling to Bridgewater tomorrow for a 4 p.m. contest.
