Former women's lacrosse standout Sydney Anderson '13 is in her fourth year as an assistant director of athletic communications. In the summer of 2018, Anderson was promoted into a full-time role as assistant athletic communications director.
Anderson, who starred for the women's lacrosse team from 2010-13, assists with game operations for all 21 of the Hornets intercollegiate athletic programs.
She is the primary statistician for both the men's and women's lacrosse teams as well as men's and women's soccer.
As the sole captain in 2013, Anderson led the women's lacrosse squad to 12 wins including its first-ever victories over Mary Washington, Lynchburg, Roanoke and Washington and Lee.
The 10-9 win over UMW in the season opener was also the team's first over a ranked opponent.
Anderson earned one All-League honor during her career, played in a third-best-in-school-history 63 games and had an even 100 points on 57 goals and 43 assists during that span.
As the full-time assistant communications director, Anderson has primary sport responsibility over the women's basketball, cross country, field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field programs.
