Harriers Prepare for ODAC Championships

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's and women's cross country teams prepared for their initial ODAC Championships in two weeks by competing in the CNU Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The SU women finished 14 among DIII schools at the meet while the men did not score due to an injury suffered during the meet.

There were 17 women's teams and 12 men's teams competing in the meet on a brand new course at Lee Hall Mansion in Newport News. A total of 148 men entered the 8000 meter race with 184 women ran in their 6000 meter event.

Sophomore Dorothy Earner had the top finish for the women, coming in 56th of 147 DIII runners with a 25:69.

On the men's side, sophomore Jacob Brennan came in 39th of 124 with a 27:39.

The ODAC Championships are October 27 at Park View Elementary just outside of Harrisonburg.
