WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach Andy Marrocco announced his 2012 schedule Wednesday morning.
Marrocco, who has earned five USA South Conference Coach of the Year accolades in the past three years, including three consecutive women's CoY honors, has six meets currently scheduled for the 2012 season.
The Hornets will open on September 1 at the Salisbury Sea Gull Opener before hosting the annual Hornet Harrier on Friday, September 7.
The meet will again be hosted at Kernstown Battlefield.
A return trip to Salisbury, this time for the Don Cathcart Invitational, is next up on September 29.
The final regular season meet is October 13 at former USA South rival Christopher Newport.
After taking a one-week break, the teams compete in their first-ever ODAC Championships on October 27.
Eastern Mennonite will host the 2012 ODAC Championships at Peak View Elementary in Harrisonburg.
Marrocco's squad's have another week hiatus before running in the 2012 NCAA South/Southeast Regionals hosted by Emory University in Atlanta on November 10.
"We are excited for our first season in the ODAC," Marrocco said. "We had the opportunity to compete against a number of these student-athletes during indoor and outdoor track season this year and I know our runners can't wait to continue that competition in cross country."
