Women Harriers Earn Academic Honor

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Shenandoah University women's cross country team has earned All-Academic status in a list announced recently by the USTFCCCA.

The Hornets, with a collective average cumulative 3.39 GPA on a 4.0 scale, are one of 187 Division III women's cross country teams to earn All-Academic honors from the organization.

This is the fourth straight year the team has been honored by the USTFCCCA.

The GPA is 102nd nationally, tops in the USA South and would put the team third among the seven ODAC schools to earn the honor.

Shenandoah joins the ODAC next fall after 20 years of competing in the USA South.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, programs must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 through the 2011 fall semester.

Seven of the eight women on the women's cross country team currently have at least a 3.21 GPA.
