NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Shenandoah University women's cross country team completed its season as the No. 10 team in the South/Southeast Regional poll released Monday by the USTFCCCA.
The final poll is a reflection of the NCAA South/Southeast Regional race this past weekend - SU finished 10th at that race and the poll is mirrors the results of the race exactly.
Rhodes (Tenn.) won the race and gets the No. 1 spot while Emory (Ga.) will advance to the NCAA national meet along with the Lynx by virtue of its runner-up performance.
Saturday's race concluded a season in which Shenandoah was ranked in all but the initial poll of the season and reached a high of No. 5 three weeks ago.
Coach Andy Marrocco, who led both the men and women to runner-up showings at the USA South meet, was named as the USA South Conference Coach of the Year for both sports.
