Frye Earns Conference Honor

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Freshman runner Roni Frye has been named USA South Conference Rookie of the Week in selections announced Monday afternoon by the league office.

Frye led the Hornets to a third place team finish this past Saturday at the Salisbury Sea Gull Opener with a 23:22, fifth place individual showing in the 6000 meter event. Over 90 runners competed in the event, including a full team from Messiah College, the No. 2 ranked team in the Mid-East Region.

Frye was Shenandoah's top finisher in the event.

The harriers are off this week and return to action on September 19 at the Dickinson College Long/Short Invitational.
