FREDERICK, Md. - Shenandoah University completed its non-conference volleyball slate Thursday evening with a 3-1 win over Hood College.
After the Blazers (9-15) took the first game at 23, Shenandoah (16-15) rallied for three straight at 19, 15 and 12 to clinch the match.
Junior Mary Harshman paced SU to the victory with a match-high 13 kills while Megan Gillispie added 12 and both Rachel Maki and Haley Smith 11.
Harshman also had a co-match-high 22 digs with Emily Jones posting 17, Gillispie 14, Kelcy Brown 11 and Brooke Strathy 10.
Strathy and Brown ran the attack with 30 and 21 assists, respectively.
Harshman completed her strong evening with five service aces.
Shenandoah completes its regular season schedule on Saturday with USA South Conference matches against Meredith and Greensboro. Play begins at noon and Maki, the team's lone senior, will be honored prior to the noon match.
