WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday that its USA South Conference Women's Soccer Tournament game on Tuesday will be videocast over the Internet.
The Hornet women, the No. 4 seed in the tournament with a 10-6-4 overall record and a 4-1-3 mark in USA South play, host fifth-seeded Methodist Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium.
For those fans unable to make the trip to Winchester for the quarterfinal round game, SU will offer live video streaming through its association with both its campus television station, SUTV, and Stretch Internet.
This is the second straight year that the department as offered a free video stream of its women's soccer tournament contests.
"We are pleased to offer this video stream," said SU co-Interim Athletics Director Kimberly Scruton. "We have had excellent feedback from both our fans and fans of opponent schools of our football videocasts, and I am sure that the soccer fans will feel the same way."
For fans attending the game, the department is encouraging all to wear white to support the Hornets. As per conference rules, a $6 admission charge will assessed to adults and $3 for SU faculty/staff/students.
Courtesy of the department, the first 50 SU students with proper ID will be admitted free.
