Shenandoah (8-6, 5-2 ODAC) scored five of the game's final six goals in taking the victory over R-MC (7-6, 4-3).
Leading 4-2 with 7:23 remaining in the first half following a Liz Bereit to Miranda Rudacille tally, SU saw its visitors sandwich a four-goal run around the halftime break to take a 6-4 lead 5:02 into the second.
Bereit, who finished with two goals and three assists, finally snapped the string by finishing off a Samantha Sisson feed at 19:01.
Sisson, the game's leading scorer with four goals and two assists for six points, then reeled off a natural hat trick to put the Hornets on top to stay.
She capped her scoring run by finding freshman Becky Bove with the victors final goal of the game at the 9:06 mark.
R-MC answered 59 seconds later, but would get no closer the rest of the way.
The two teams traded the first four goals of the game before Shenandoah took its first two goal lead with tallied at 10:53 and 7:23 of the first. Bereit was involved in both of these goals, scoring the first unassisted and then finding Rudacille for the second.
SU outshot the Yellow Jackets 22-20 and had a 16-14 advantage in ground balls.
Macon, which won the initial four draws of the second to help pull itself back into the game, finished with a 12-7 advantage in that category.
Hornets goalkeeper Ashley Cross made eight saves.
Shenandoah continues this homestand on Sunday with a 2:00 contest against Virginia Wesleyan.
